About Us

Sam Miles

OWNER/CO-FOUNDER (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I have been teaching since 2015.

What made you interested in getting certified?

I was a college athlete and never really understood the mechanics of how my body moved in such powerful ways and what caused or prevented injury. Once I got out of college and my body changed and certain injuries presented, I got really interested in the ‘why’ of movement and how to stay out of pain. After my first anatomy class I was hooked and wanted to spread as much knowledge about health and well being as I could!

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

Full body with great flow. Feel Good, our signature Good Time class, really presents in that way for me when I teach.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Love glute work but my FAVE is arms..often forgotten in workouts, but so so important to daily life and longevity.

Meg Broome

CO-FOUNDER/INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

8 years and the magic never gets old

What made you interested in getting certified?

I am a dancer and pilates saved my body on so many occasions. Sharing physical knowledge then became my passion!

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

I love them all equally. :)

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Deep ab burn mixed is my favorite. Love feeling that hard work the next day when I laugh :)

Nat Braha

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

since 2018

What made you interested in getting certified?

I really responded to the science behind Pilates and I was curious to learn more.

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

Depends on my mood, really! As a student I like a challenging athletic class with a good amount of stretches throughout. So maybe that kind.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Abs like crazy. Also hip and ankle strengthening because everyone needs it.

Jane Sato

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I started teaching yoga in 2007 and pilates in 2013.

What made you interested in getting certified?

I found my way to teaching pilates as my orthopedist recommended it for all my injuries. It has improved my quality of life and mood 1000%.

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

I love teaching Feel Good because I love moving and want you to help you deep dive into the pleasure of working out and its mental and physical benefits. People say my class is “sneaky hard”.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

My favorite pilates exercises are the simple ones because they are just so good for us!!! I get real nerdy in class with function and some anatomy terms because I want you to leave class empowered and knowledgeable.

Mary Elizabeth Buckingham

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I have been teaching for 3 years.

What made you interested in getting certified?

I fell in love with Pilates through group classes and decided to get certified to deepen my understanding of anatomy. I loved the sense of community that studios offered in the city and am so happy to be teaching on the other side of it :)

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

My favorite classes to teach are ones where you end up using a lot of sneaky coordination.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Love glute work! And abs.

Alma Azaryahu

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I’ve been teaching for just over 2 years and doing Pilates about 10 years. It’s been the best year ever and I’m so excited to keep learning.

What made you interested in getting certified?

After a slight identity crisis I realized that pilates is the one thing that makes me consistently happy and has helped improve both my anxiety and confidence. I love making people feel strong and to spread the good word of Pilates!

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

My favorite kind of classes to teach are the type that sneak up on you - I take plenty of time to warm up but before you know it you are working super hard! I love teaching challenging classes that highlight being present in the exercises and focused on what you are doing to connect body and mind.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

My favorite body parts to focus on are probably abs and glutes.

Mariko Russell

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

5 years.

What made you interested in getting certified?

Pilates was the only exercise I kept coming back to. Just loved how it taught me how to connect my mind and body. So why not learn more about it and help other people feel better?

What are your favorite kind of classes to teach?

A class which has little bit of everything, a moment to yourself, good burn, gooey stretch and something new to challenge yourself.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Hip, obliques and triceps!

Michelle Ryu

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I’ve been teaching for around 2 years

What made you interested in getting certified?

Through my Pilates studio at the time, I initially only signed up for a full anatomy and mat pilates course because I was really interested in how the human body worked together, to learn as a foundational base, with no intention of teaching! However as I met awesome fellow students throughout my studies and I started to love the feeling of helping others feel good and strong, I didn’t stop until I got my full equipment certification and now I’m here!

What are your favorite kind of classes to teach?

That’s a hard question but I would say the Oof that burns! I love to bring the high energy with the fun music and challenge those that may underestimate what we can do in Pilates.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

I personally spend a lot of time at a desk so it’s crucial for me to add some spine extensions and shoulder mobility there, as I’m sure I’m not alone!

Caitlin Ghosio

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I’ve been teaching since 2014.

What made you interested in getting certified?

I tried Pilates during college after a dance injury and it was a game changer. My body and my awareness totally shifted. After graduation, a friend connected me with the studio she was getting certified through and off I went!

What are your favorite kind of classes to teach?

I love teaching a hard class, but I love how people feel after an active recovery just as much. It’s a tie between Oof That Burns and Super Stretch.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Always gotta work the booty! But in the past few years, I’ve been all about working arms and back just as much.

Cam Abron

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I’ve been teaching for almost 8 years now!

What made you interested in getting certified?

I found out I was injured from my tumbling & lifting days. Doctors told me I would eventually need surgery, but a Pilates instructor recommended the practice to help strengthen my body. I fell in love with it & I knew I had to learn more!

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

I enjoy teaching the Feel Good and Oof That Burns classes. I love giving my students a good workout with some dynamic stretching.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

All of them! Particularly the scapula & hips/glutes.

Molly Gray

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I started teaching Pilates in 2023 but have taught dance and other movement-based classes for almost 10 years.

What made you interested in getting certified?

My career as a dancer led me to Pilates initially as a form of cross training. Over the years, though, I fell in love with the accessibility of the practice and its rehabilitative elements. Now I love teaching and love helping people develop a deeper appreciation for their bodies.

What are your favorite kind of classes to teach?

I love a slow burn! Mindful movement with lots of layers to leave folks feeling stronger and more grounded.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Glutes and deep core are definitely some faves, but I love targeting smaller muscle groups that people never knew they had to offer a new and exciting challenge.

Britney Birr

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I’ve taught mat on and off for 8 years and reformer for little over a year.

What made you interested in getting certified?

While receiving my BFA in Dance, Pilates was introduced to me as a supplemental form of training. After dealing with previous injuries as a result of my youth dance training, I instantly loved Pilates for its rehabilitative qualities and injury prevention techniques. Wishing to share this practice led me to begin my certification journey.

What are your favorite kind of classes to teach?

A class that makes you feel the burn but also works your coordination.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

Abs, back, and glutes of course : )

Maria Martinez

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

I been teaching for 3 years

What made you interested in getting certified?
When I started pilates I immediately really felt the great impact in supporting my dance career. When I then transitioned from dancing I kept wanting to do more Pilates and share my passion with others.

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach? Oof that burns I like classes that you feel the burn and finish up energized and lifted!

What body parts are your favorite to hit?
I love givings giving abs: all of them transverse, obliques and rectus. (So the next day when you laugh you remember your pilates class)

Bailey Wait

INSTRUCTOR (she/her)

How long have you been teaching?

I have been teaching for two years.

What made you interested in getting certified?

Pilates has helped heal my injuries and made me fall back in love with exercise as an adult. I got certified to enhance my knowledge and share the mind, body connection that pilates provides our bodies with the community around me. I truly want everybody to feel good in their bodies!

What are your favorite kinds of classes to teach?

I love slow and challenging mobility focused classes. Oof that burns classes are the best! My favorite part of teaching is sharing the joy of pushing through a challenge and seeing how strong you get both physically and mentally.

What body parts are your favorite to hit?

I love obliques and upper body to help posture alignment.
